The results from the Autumn Sumdog competition were announced at the end of Harvest assembly today.
The competition focused on multiplication. I was amazed by the amount everyone played over the week – I hope you enjoyed it and improved your times tables. The winners were sent home with a bag full of Maths treats! Here are your winners:
From left to right: Bilal (Year 3), Zain (Year 4), Hamza (Year 5) and Nanette (Year 6).
Well don again,
Mr Kay
Evie-Rae, who is in Year 5, completed some wonderful ‘Real Life Maths’ home learning with Miss Judge’s teddy:
Miss Judge’s Maths teddy was very busy with Evie-Rae – adding up amounts in the super market and weighing out in ingredients in the kitchen. On top of this, Evie-Rae beautifully presented her journey across two pages. Well done!

What does my 50p go towards?

GOOD LUCK!
Class 1CC have been mastering adding by using digits cubes along with recording their answers on whiteboards:
Well done everyone – Keep up the super work 🙂
6SK’s Maths teddy has visited two children so far – Malak and Sehansa – to do some real life Maths! Where will he go next?
Malak looking at the relationship between litres and pounds.
Sehansa working out the weight in ingredients, as well as distance in km and miles!
